Our client is on the lookout for a dedicated Stores Operative to join their vibrant team in Newton Hill, Wakefield! What You'll Be Doing:As a Stores Operative, you will be at the heart of the procurement and management of engineering spare parts and consumables. Your key responsibilities will include:

Collating and processing stores requisition sheets efficiently.
Receiving incoming orders and ensuring they are accurately logged in the stores system.
Picking parts required from stores and assisting engineers with access to stock bins as needed.
Reviewing and managing stock levels, including min/max and critical items.
Completing daily perpetual inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
Managing orders: signing, recording, storing, and informing requesters.
Liaising with customers and team members to address any Health and Safety concerns.
Updating stores Key Performance Indicator boards.
Conducting self-audits of stores and resolving or escalating any issues as necessary.
Ensuring overdue items, supply notes, and requisitions are promptly chased.
Managing Proof of Delivery documents.
Maintaining general housekeeping of the stores areas and clearing quarantine areas.
Completing returns to suppliers and managing NDC returns.

What We're Looking For:The ideal candidate will have:

Direct, relevant experience in a busy stores environment.
Skills in managing replenishment orders, stock receipt, and inventory checks.
Familiarity with MRO product knowledge is a plus.
Proficiency in working with stores management systems and standard processes.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong customer service skills.
Excellent time management abilities.
